According to a recent Chief Marketer research study, half of B2B marketers plan to invest 26-75% of their entire budget on events. Additional research says 63% of marketers plan to invest more in events — both in budget and the total number of events they deliver and/or participate in.
Great news for event marketers, right?
Events are being valued and your hard work has finally paid off. Congratulations! But you might not want to go grab that glass of celebratory chardonnay just yet. More budget and events is great, but that also means you have a whole lot more work than you did last year. And that doesn’t even take into account how much more complex delivering and marketing events has become.

Learn the secret to building a winning event marketing team and tech suite to effectively deliver your events.
Event marketing is complex
Research from Live Marketing tells us 83% of brands say that increasing sales is their #1 reason for doing events. For some event marketers lead generation is a muscle they are not used to flexing. Or they might not have the technology stack to handle the complexity of events.
That’s just lead gen. What if you don’t have the technology, people or time to handle all the critical components necessary to attract attendees to your events?
Delivering and marketing events in today’s environment is quite complex. There are new techniques as well as technology to consider. And there’s a good chance you may not have the technology, bandwidth or skill set to get the results you need.
What’s an event professional to do? How the heck are you going to scale to take on more? How are you going to free yourself up so you can focus on strategy and results?
Build an awesome event marketing team
Stop trying to do it all yourself. You need the right team of event marketers to help you. Whether you need one person, a few, or many, there are folks (like Crawford Group) that can help you. But how do you know what’s right for your situation? Should you do it yourself or work with others? What exactly are your options? How do you get started?
Select the right technology solutions
And what about technology? There is no argument that event technology is important and key to a successful experiential event. “Event technology can help increase event attendance by 20%, increase productivity by 27%, and decrease costs by 20-30%,” according to Martech Advisors. But, which technology do you invest in and how do you implement them to make your investment worthwhile?
Event technology increases operational efficiency and reduces costs.
